Scoping Process
As a result of the Scoping Meetings and the comments received, 18 alignments were identified connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with Downtown Chattanooga. Alignments were formed during the Screening Process based upon the Scoping Segments shown on the adjoining map.

Screening Process
These alignments were combined into nine corridors. A screening process was conducted to identify HSGT alignments to advance into the Tier 1 EIS. The two-step process included an initial corridor screen to advance the best performing corridor(s) based on the criterion of transportation mobility and a second screen of alignments that provides a more detailed assessment relative to ridership, mobility, environmental, and financial/economic criteria. The process has resulted in the recommendation of the following four alignments for further analysis:
- I-75 Median Southern Crescent NS
- I-75 Median Southern Crescent
- I-75 Non-Median Southern Crescent NS
- I-75 Non-Median Southern Crescent
